Philosophy
We started Shea Bliss because our son and I suffer from eczema, and we were concerned about the amount of chemicals that were in the products that we were using. We started off making unscented Whipped Shea Butter and noticed the results, and it took off from there.
Many other products that are “Shea Butter” based contain about 20-30% Shea Butter. Ours contain up to 98% Shea Butter.
All of our products are handmade, by us, and if you choose the unscented versions of Just Shea, Shea & Cocoa Butter Lotion Bar, Whipped Shea butter, Shea Botty Balm, Shea & Cocoa Butter Bath Melts, Shea Butter Soap and Lip Balm, then you’ll find that they are completely free from harmful chemicals, and are Parabens free. These unscented versions are what we recommend if you have sensitive skin or suffer from eczema or other skin conditions.
Our existing customers have found that it helps ease severe cases of eczema, clears up dry patches on those who don’t suffer so badly, and helps with other conditions raging from psoriasis to acne.
We then extended the range to include the remaining products: Shea & Cocoa Butter Body Cream, Shea Dead Sea Salt Scrub, Shea Dead Sea Salt Scrub - Just for Feet, Shea Sugar Scrub, Shea Luxurious, Shea & Mango Body Mousse, Shea Butter Body Lotion.
EU law dictates that products that either contain water, or come into contact with water need to have preservatives added. We have chosen the most natural preservative that we could find, and it is Parabens and formaldehyde free.
We have a wide range of scented options (with both essential oils and synthetic fragrances), for those lucky enough not to have sensitive skin.
